Supporting Pupils to Catch Up and Progress

Many schools partner with us when they need tuition programmes they cannot easily run themselves — finding the right tutors, coordinating sessions around the school timetable, and maintaining reliable reporting on student progress.

We work with heads of department, heads of year, and SLTs to design and deliver programmes that target the right students, in the right subjects, at the right time.

What Schools Can Expect

Your programme is managed by someone who understands your priorities, handles the logistics, and is easy to reach when something needs adjusting. In practice, that means:

A tutor report submitted after every session

Proactive communication if a student disengages or a concern is raised

Reporting cadence agreed at the outset — session-by-session, weekly summaries, or half-termly overviews

Flexible programme management as cohort needs or school priorities evolve across the year

What We Deliver

Our academic catch-up and GCSE support covers a wide range of programme types. Sessions are delivered one-to-one or in small groups of two to three — cost-effective without compromising the quality of provision. We work across:

1

GCSE revision programmes

For Year 10 and 11 students, typically after school or at weekends, across core and EBacc subjects.

2

Curriculum catch-up (KS3 & KS4)

For students falling behind in specific subjects at Key Stage 3 and 4.

3

Pupil Premium intervention

Pupil Premium and Pupil Premium Plus-funded intervention for disadvantaged pupils.

4

One-to-one attainment support

For students with specific attainment gaps or at risk of underperforming in exams.

5

Summer school programmes

Preparing Year 10 students ahead of their GCSE year.

We handle the logistics — tutor recruitment, timetabling, group allocation, and session management — so your staff can focus on teaching. Before the first session, we meet with the relevant head of department or year group lead to understand student targets, current levels, and what success looks like — programmes are built around that conversation, not a standard template.

Our Process

A clear, consistent path from first conversation to ongoing support — so you always know what happens next and who’s accountable at every stage.

Understand

We take time to understand the student — their educational needs, circumstances, and what the school or council needs from the programme.

Plan

We develop an Individual Learning Plan (ILP), aligned to EHCP targets where applicable, and agree reporting format and cadence with you from the outset.

Match

We match the student to the right tutor based on subject knowledge, experience, and the right fit for their specific needs.

Support

We stay involved throughout, adapting the programme as needs change and keeping your team informed at every stage.

We have gone from offering just the core subjects to Year 11, to adding other EBACC subjects to Year 11 and 10, including a summer school and some subjects in Year 13! The tutors are great and feedback on the students’ levels of engagement in addition to any subject or technical issues, which means we can then get involved in school and support the tutoring.
